'Firefly' gets screened in special film showcase in Hamburg, Germany

“Firefly” continues its international journey after being screened in Hamburg, Germany!

In a social media post, GMA Pictures announced that the film was presented at the Katholische Akademie Hamburg during the special film showcase organized by the Philippine Embassy in Berlin through the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP).

“As ‘Firefly’ continues to captivate audiences beyond Philippine shores, it proudly carries Filipino storytelling to the global stage—one screening at a time,” the caption read.

"Firefly" is directed by Zig Dulay and was an entry to the 2023 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF), winning Best Picture, as well as Best Child Actor for Euwenn Mikaell's performance in the film.

It was previously shortlisted at the 7th ASEAN International Film Festival and Awards (AIFFA).
