Nadine Lustre on working with Alden Richards in 'Love, Siargao': 'Sobrang sarap niya ka-work'

Nadine Lustre is all praises for Alden Richards, her co-star in "Love, Siargao,"

“Sobrang sarap niya ka-work,” she said of the Asia's Multimedia Star during a media conference on Wednesday.

Nadine added that while "Love, Siargao" marks their first project together, she had actually worked Alden some years ago.

"Si Alden kasi, hindi ko siya first time makatrabaho," she said. "Before kasi normally, endorsement shoots lang."

Nadine also recalled that they first met professionally when she was still a member of POP Girls.

"The very first time I worked with him was, I think, nasa POP Girls pa ako, 16 or 17 years old ako that time. Thirty-two na ako ngayon," she said.

According to Nadine, she enjoyed getting to know Alden better while filming the series, noting how approachable he is with everyone on set.

"Hindi siya mahirap pakisamahan. One of the things that I really loved about him is that lahat kinakausap niya. ‘Yung buong team kinakausap niya. He knows how to get along with everyone, nakikipagbiruan siya. Everything about him is just so light," she said.

She also commended Alden's collaborative approach to acting, saying they would often discuss their characters and scenes in depth before filming.

"Masarap niya ka-work kasi very collaborative siya. Pag may mga scenes kami, pinag-uusapan talaga namin, 'Why do you think ganito yung reaction ni Jao?' Ano bang puwedeng gawin? Parang hinihimay talaga namin yung mga eksena namin," she said.

"Love, Siargao" stars Nadine and Alden as the lead pair and is set against the scenic backdrop of the island destination.

It follows the story of Jao and Kara, two strangers with opposing principles in life whose paths eventually cross as they navigate the highs and lows of modern romance.

The series delves into the so-called “Siargao Curse” lore, which suggests that visitors to the island either never leave or fall in love.

"Love, Siargao" is a collaboration between GMA Network, Viu Philippines, and Viva Communications Inc.

Aside from Alden, “Love, Siargao” also stars Kyline Alcantara, Kim Ji Soo, and Gab Lagman in supporting roles. — LA, GMA News
