Mika Salamanca gives copies of her children's book at outreach in Manila
Mika Salamanca gave away copies of her book "Lipad" to children at an outreach in Manila.
In Nelson Canlas' report on "24 Oras," Tuesday, the actress said it was a special moment because it fits the story of "Lipad."
"Tulad ng lagi kong sinasabi 'pag nag-bo-book reading ako, madala nila 'yung kwento ni Mahika, hindi lang ngayon pero pagtanda nila, madala nila sa puso nila," Mika said.
Meanwhile, Mika said she is looking forward to working with Will Ashley again. They were housemates in the "Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition" and worked together in "The Secrets of Hotel 88."
"Isa si Will sa pinaka hinahangaan ko sa pag-arte even before pa 'PBB' so working with him would be really exciting," she said.
Mika will appear in the comedy film "Saving Cherry" starring Barbie Forteza, a project she is thankful for.
"Sobrang saya. Actually, ang dami ko pong natutunan kay Ate Barbie. Lalo na 'yung work ethic niya talaga, nakaka-inspire," the actress said.
"Nakakatawa si Ate Barbie. Ang dami naming take na parang pinipigilan talaga namin matawa sa isa't isa," Mika added.
"Lipad" is Mika's debut book. It was launched at the Manila International Book Fair last September.
"Lipad" tells the story of a diwata named Mahika, who is insecure because her wings are different from the others.
Previously, Mika told GMA News Online that the character was inspired by herself. —Nika Roque/MGP, GMA News
