Gabbi Garcia joins 'The Voice Kids PH' as journey host

Gabbi Garcia is joining the upcoming season of "The Voice Kids Philippines" as journey host.

In Athena Imperial's report on "24 Oras" Friday, the Sparkle star expressed her excitement for the hosting stint, noting that she has always wanted to be part of "The Voice Kids PH."

"Iba kasi 'yung journey host, you really have to connect with the contestant. Iba 'yung feeling na nakakausap mo sila firsthand, malalaman mo 'yung storya nila, malalaman mo 'yung mga pangarap nila kung ano ba talaga 'yung rason nila kung bakit sila sumali sa 'The Voice Kids Philippines,'" she shared.

She's also looking forward to working with Dingdong Dantes anew, whom she worked with in "Encantadia" in 2016. This is the first time they'll be working together as hosts.

Per the report, Gabbi sees herself in the young contestants, especially since she started to join auditions at just four years old.

"So it's really more personal na dinadamayan ko sila na, 'Alam mo, maybe one day you'll get there kasi ako nga dati andami ko rejections pero eventually I was able to reach my dreams' so maybe it's the timing lang talaga," said Gabbi.

Sofia Mallares was hailed the grand champion of "The Voice Kids PH" in December 2025. She was the mentee of coach Zack Tabudlo.

The last season featured an all-star coaching lineup. Aside from Zack, it included Julie Anne San Jose, Billy Crawford, and twins Miguel and Paolo of Ben&Ben.

Julie Anne is set to reprise her role as coach for the upcoming season of "The Voice Kids PH." —CDC, GMA News
