Maomao faces new mysteries in 'The Apothecary Diaries' Season 3 trailer

The highly anticipated third season of the hit anime series “The Apothecary Diaries” has unveiled its main trailer, offering fans a glimpse of Maomao and Jinshi’s next chapter.

The new trailer shows Maomao and Jinshi’s journey beyond the imperial palace as they become embroiled in a fresh set of mysteries and challenges.

The upcoming season will also bring the pair into the bustling city, where a looming national crisis, a mysterious oracle, and Jinshi’s duties as an imperial prince will bring new complications to their lives.

"The Apothecary Diaries" follows the adventures of Maomao, a smart apothecary girl who becomes a food taster in the Imperial Court of a country inspired by ancient China. She gets embroiled in court politics, secrets, and plots and tries to solve cases in the inner palace.

The series is originally a light novel that was later adapted into manga and anime.

The first and second seasons of the anime are currently streaming on Netflix.

The third season will premiere on October 2, 2026.
