EPD secures memorial park for Francis M mourners

MANILA, Philippines - Police in eastern Metro Manila secured early Wednesday the Loyola Memorial Park in Marikina City where the late artist Francis Magalona was to be laid to rest. Radio dzBB's Sam Nielsen reported that Eastern Police District (EPD) head Chief Superintendent Lino Calingasan ordered tight security for Magalona's kin and other guests. The report said motorcycle units were on alert as early as 6 a.m. for the event. Remains of Magalona, who died last Friday, were brought to the Funeraria Paz for cremation. The cremation was finished at 5:15 a.m., the report said. - GMANews.TV
