Family opposed Kris' marriage with James — sister

The family of Kris Aquino had opposed her marriage to cager James Yap five years ago because of their 10-year age gap. “Kung tutuusin (Truth be told), we were also not really for the marriage. Mahirap lang kami, sila mayaman (I was not in favor of their relationship because she’s from a wealthy family and we’re just ordinary people)," Mrs. Yap told “Showbiz Central" in an exclusive interview. James and Kris are currently in the process of ending their relationship. They have a son, Baby James. Dee said they also felt it was too early for the two to get married. “Parang (We thought) it was too quick a courtship.
