Actor John Apacible shot dead in Cainta

Character actor John Apacible was shot dead following a supposed argument with his uncle in Cainta, Rizal before dawn Sunday, a radio report said. Radio dzBB's Manny Vargas reported the incident occurred at Primerose Street in a subdivision in Cainta, Rizal at around 3 a.m. Sunday. Apacible, 38, Enrique Rustia Apacible in real life, died on arrival at a nearby hospital. He expired from two gunshot wounds in the chest. Apacible's mother Aurora said John's 61-year-old uncle Armando Rustia had sent surrender feelers and may turn himself in soon, maybe even Sunday afternoon. “Susuko siya, kukuha lang ng makasama. Hindi ko alam ano dahilan. Sa sobrang lasing nila di ko alam ano kinagalitan nila (He will surrender, he is just looking for someone to accompany him. But I do not know what caused the shooting, both appeared drunk)," she said in an interview on dzBB radio. Apacible had starred in several ‘teleserye’ or television soap operas, such as GMA-7’s “Totoy Bato" and “Darna". His acting career started in 1996 as one of the featured models in Regal Films “Nights of Serafina." He delved into sexy films such as “Phone Sex" opposite sexy actress Ara Mina. – MRT/KBK, GMA News
