Kuya Germs adds more stars to RP Walk of Fame

Superstars Lea Salonga, Aga Muhlach, Richard Gomez, Robin Padilla, Cesar Montano, Zsa Zsa Padilla, Rudy Fernandez, and Senators Bong Revilla and Jinggoy Estrada flock to Eastwood City in Libis, Quezon City, on Tuesday to witness the unveiling of their names on the Philippine Walk of Fame. German Moreno, who started the Pinoy-version of Hollywood’s Walk of Fame a year ago, honored 30 celebrities, including boxer Manny Pacquiao, in a ceremonious induction and presentation of their brass stars embedded along Eastwood. Forty names had been initially installed on the Walk of Fame. “Inaasahan ko sanang maunawaan ng ibang artista, ‘yung mga nalagay ko nang pangalan, pahalagahan naman nila, puntahan nila,” said Moreno, who spent his own money in building the Walk of Fame. The “Master Showman” said each star cost P20,000 to install. Judy Ann Santos, the youngest recipient of the Walk of Fame star, as well as Eddie Gutierrez, Mona Lisa, and Pilita Corales graced the event to receive their stars. “Oh I felt good. I felt really good. Talagang masarap ang pakiramdam nang makita ko ang pangalan ko sa Walk of Fame,” international theater artist Lea Salonga said. “And just really thankful and appreciative of Kuya Germs for the idea and for commemorating all these artists and all these movie stars, all these people who have been in show business for so long. And to have my name alongside so many of them is incredible.” The barkada of Fernandez, Revilla, and Estrada were also pleased to have their names “immortalized” on the Walk of Fame. “Masayang masaya at isang karangalan na malagay ang pangalan ko at maihanay sa mga sikat na artista,” said Estrada. His father, former President Joseph Estrada, is one of the first recipients of the brass star. Francis Magalona came with his sons to accept the stars for his parents, Tita Duran and Pancho Magalona, while Baby O’ Brien for her mother, Paraluman. Jun Urbano also received the star for his father, Manuel Conde, who was famous for playing Ghengis Khan and Juan Tamad during the 50s. - GMANews.TV The Complete list of names on the Philippine Walk of Fame Tessie Agana Efren Reyes Sr. Hilda Koronel Christopher de Leon Boy Alano Bong Revilla Lito Lapid Eddie Gutierrez Lea Salonga Manny Pacquiao Judy Ann Santos Jinggoy Estrada Lolita Rodriguez Ruffa Gutierrez Richard Gomez Cesar Montano Zsa Zsa Padilla Robin Padilla Paraluman Manuel Conde Philip Salvador Jaime dela Rosa Tita Duran Pancho Magalona Chiquito Katy dela Cruz Aga Muhlach Mona Lisa Rudy Fernandez Gloria Diaz Eddie Rodriguez Charito Solis Armando Goyena Boots Anson Roa Fred Montilla Rosa Rosal Jose Padilla Jr. Barbara Perez Amalia Fuentes Oscar Moreno Anita Linda Mario Montenegro Lilia Dizon Tony Santos Delia Razon Jose Mari Gonzales Fernando Poe Sr. Sharon Cuneta Vilma Santos Rogelio dela Rosa Leopoldo Salcedo Nida Blanca Nestor de Villa Nora Aunor Dolphy Gloria Romero Susan Roces Fernando Poe Jr. Atang dela Rama Carmen Rosales Maricel Soriano Lorna Tolentino Alicia Vergel Marlene Dauden Zaldy Zhornack Tessie Quintana Edna Luna Vic Vargas Romeo Vasquez Joseph Estrada
