Rita Avila's baby dies of heart ailment

Ellia Jesu, baby of actress Rita Avila and TV director Erick Reyes, died after heart surgery on Saturday — less than a month after being born on Nov. 10, according to the Philippine Entertainment Portal (www.pep.ph). "He's gone," Avila said in her message texted to friends before 7 p.m. Saturday. The "miracle baby." as Avila considered her son, was named after Elia Kazan, director of such classic films as A Streetcar Named Desire and Jesus, which is Jesu in Latin.
