GMA Records strengthens its roster with four new artists

Geneva Cruz, Kris Lawrence, Sheila Valderrama and the Phenomenal Diva Jessa Zaragoza formally became Kapuso artists when they signed exclusive contracts with GMA Records. GMA Records formally presented to the press four new Kapuso recording artists at the 17th floor of GMA Network Center on Monday, March 12, 2012. Former Survivor Philippines castaway, Geneva Cruz was emotional and told the press, “I am really excited and honored to be part of this family." The last album that she released was in 2002 and is now looking forward to the release of her new album. Kris Lawrence on the other hand said that, “This feels good, kasi my home network is GMA tapos now I am with GMA Records so at least we can all work together in one direction." He also hinted that he hopes GMA will use some of his songs in its upcoming teleseryes. Theater actress/singer Shiela Valderrama is set to release her very first album. “It is a light CD, finish na po kaming mag-record. Ire-release na lang. I have three originals and two covers. Yung carrier single ko is a remake of Joey Albert’s Over Now," she said. The returning Kapuso star, Jessa Zaragosa, expressed her gratitude that she is now back with GMA. The Phenomenal Diva will be juggling her schedule between promoting her new album and a new soap opera from GMA. Present at the contract signing were GMA Network EVP and CFO & GMA Records EVP and COO Felipe S.
