No Palace confirmation yet on reported PNoy-Grace Lee breakup

President Benigno Aquino III has reportedly ended his supposed relationship with media personality Grace Lee, but Malacañang could not confirm it as of posting time. “Hindi ko alam ‘yon. I just saw it (report) now. We don’t comment and we don’t ask the President about private matters,” said presidential spokesman Edwin Lacierda in a text message Monday.   He was referring to a report on news site Rappler that said three sources have already confirmed the breakup.   Aquino, in February this year, confirmed dating Lee, a Philippine-based Korean national.   The 52-year-old bachelor President first noticed Lee at an event in Cebu last year and described her as “gwapa” or pretty.   Aquino made the comment when he inaugurated the KEPCO-SPC power plant in Cebu in mid-2011, an event hosted by Lee.   The two met again in an event in Malacañang when South Korean President Lee Myung-Bak visited the Philippines in November.   In December, Lee interviewed Aquino for her radio program. — Amita O.
