After saying sorry, Miriam Quiambao draws mixed reactions from LGBT community

An apology from Miriam Quiambao to the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) community over her comments on homosexuality drew mixed reactions on Twitter.
"I'm sorry LGBT. Perhaps I was too harsh with the words I used. Will do my best to be more sensitive," the Miss Universe 1999 first runner-up tweeted, a day after posting her views on homosexuality.
While some did not accept the apology, others supported the former beauty queen, saying she did not need to say sorry for speaking the "truth."
On Sunday, Quiambao became a trending topic with the following tweets:
