Mass intentions will be offered even as prayers continue to pour out for the Filipino king of comedy Rodolfo "Dolphy" Quizon, who is currently confined at the Makati Medical Center. Former President Joseph Estrada will offer a Mass today [Sunday] for Dolphy's recovery at Pinaglabanan Church in San Juan, GMA News' Bernadette Reyes reported Sunday morning. There will also be a Mass at the Makati Medical Center's chapel at 5:30 p.m. After Dolphy was reported to be in critical condition on June 20, his fans and supporters have turned to Twitter, with #PrayforDolphy trending on the online information-sharing platform. Also the "News TV Live" report said the veteran comedian has been "taken out" of the intensive care unit (ICU) at the Makati Medical Center where he used to stay in the past few days. But it did elaborate on the matter. "Nailipat na siya, ICU. Yun ang hindi ko naitanong, baka ICU din ng ibang lugar naman o ano, pero iisa lang naman ang ICU," Evelyn Bontogan-Guerrero a.k.a. Matutina was quoted as saying in the report. Matutina was Dolphy's co-star on the hit comedy show “John En Marsha.” "At ang magandang balita doon, dahil sa maramihang pagdasal, pananalangin para sa kanyang kaligtasan, maganda na ang kanyang kalagayan," she added. Guerrero and Estrada visited the Filipino comedy king on Saturday. The report said Dolphy's son Eric Quizon will give an update on his father's health at 3 p.m. Sunday. Dolphy was hospitalized early this month for complications from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Last Thursday, he underwent dialysis to suport his kidneys and other organs. The treatment somewhat improved his condition, but was stopped due to complications from pneumonia. Dolphy resumed dialysis on June 23. — Carmela Lapeña /LBG, GMA News
