Boxing icon Pacquiao sympathizes with comedy king's family
Philippine boxing king and Sarangani Rep. Emmanuel "Manny" Pacquiao on Friday joined the nation in voicing sorrow over the death of Comedy King Rodolfo "Dolphy" Vera Quizon. After arriving at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport, Pacquiao extended his sympathies to Dolphy's family, radio dzBB reported. He also said he would try to go to the Heritage Park in Taguig City where Dolphy's remains were brought if he has the chance. But he said he had to take a flight to Sarangani where he has some urgent business. Parts of Sarangani had been affected by flash floods recently. The dzBB report said Pacquiao arrived at 5:55 a.m. Friday on a Philippine Airlines flight (PR-103). He had come from a vacation with his family. Dolphy died last Tuesday at the Makati Medical Center, two weeks short of his 84th birthday. He is to be buried on Sunday. — LBG, GMA News
