International singer Nelly Furtado, malapit sa puso ang Pilipinas

Malapit sa puso ng Grammy-winning singer na si Nelly Furtado ang Pilipinas dahil may dugong Filipino ang anak nitong babae na si Nevis. Inihayag ito ni Furtado sa isang press conference na ginanap nitong Miyerkules. "My daughter's grandmother is actually from the Philippines. So she's a Puerto-Filipina and I always say that the most beautiful features [are] coming from the Philippines," pahayag ni Nelly. Sa ulat ni Steve Dailisan sa Saksi nitong Miyerkules, mahilig din ang Canadian-Portuguese singer sa ilang pagkaing Pinoy tulad ng puto, lumpia, at pansit. Samantala, tumungong Pilipinas si Furtado para sa kanyang concert kasama ang grupong Gym Class Heroes na gaganapin sa Smart Araneta Coliseum ngayong Huwebes . Wika pa ni Nelly sa ulat ng Chika Minute ng 24 Oras, "I'm humbled that some people still want to participate in a concert [despite the calamity]."
