Jessa explains move to the US

Dingdong Avanzado and Jessa Zaragoza immigrated to the US to give their three-year-old daughter Jayda the option of living there if she would choose to do so when she's older. That's the real reason the singing couple left the Philippines, according to the Philippine Entertainment Portal (PEP). It's not because their careers are on the wane. "It's really for our daughter Jayda para may option siya paglaki niya. Pag naging [American] citizen na kami, and if ever mag-decide siya na gusto niya dito tumira o kaya puwede rin sa America, di na siya mahihirapan," Zaragoza said in an interview with PEP contributor Melba Llanera last Sunday, January 14. "Sa mga nagsasabi na laos na daw kami, na frustrated kami ni Dingdong kaya kami umalis — modesty aside, I think naman we've proven ourselves here in the music industry. So, ano pa ba ang kailangan naming i-prove? Kailangan ‘pag nag-isip ka, dapat next level, di stagnant ka na lang diyan," Zaragoza added. Zaragoza went back to the Philippines last week with her daughter to promote a series of concert she and her husband are staging in the US.
