Manager denies actress Alyssa Alano drunk at time of accident

The manager of actress and TV host Alyssa Alano on Monday denied her ward was drunk when she figured in a predawn road accident that left her injured Sunday.

 

Annie Ayroso also said the TV host-actress' condition had improved, and could smile but not yet talk or eat as of Monday morning.

 

 

"Hindi (No)!" Ayroso said in an interview on dzBB radio, when asked if her ward was drunk at the time of the incident along a portion of Marcos Highway in Marikina City.

 

But she said Alano noticed her Everest sport-utility vehicle was not responding shortly before the accident.

 

The SUV was just four months old, she said.

 

"Nang nagkamalay nang kaunti kahapon, sabi niya ginagalaw niya ang gear, hindi raw magalaw, pati manibela. Bigla umandar diretso hanggang wala na siyang alam," she said.

 

She also said that as of Monday morning, her ward could not yet walk by herself.

 

However, she said she was thankful Alano's condition is now stable.

 

An initial investigation showed Alano's SUV hit the center island and spun, and hit some other vehicles. Rescue teams eventually extricated Alano from the SUV. — RSJ, GMA News
