"Undesirable" live studio participants will be weeded out of child star Ryzza Mae Dizon's television shows, the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board said late Friday.
In posts on its Twitter account, the MTRCB said this was one of the undertakings of TAPE Inc., which produces "The Ryzza Mae Show" aired on GMA-7.
"MTRCB welcomes TAPE's undertaking to weed out undesirable live studio participants to protect both child talents and audience," it said.
The MTRCB earlier summoned TAPE and GMA-7 executives to a meeting following two incidents on "The Ryzza Mae Show" and "Eat Bulaga."
In the July 29 episode of "Eat Bulaga," the MTRCB cited a scene where a host "spat juice into the face" of Dizon.
Also, it cited the Aug. 14 episode of the "Ryzza Mae Show," where a guest told Dizon, "landing bata ka," and the child "asked the guest not to be harsh on her."

The MTRCB also said TAPE has undertaken "not to have such scenes anymore consistent with other measures for the child host."
It thanked TAPE and GMA-7 for their cooperation during the mandatory conference and for TAPE's "pro-active stance for Ryzza Mae's well-being."
Child development expert
Also, the MTRCB cited TAPE's prior engagement of a child development expert to advise proper handling of child talent.
"MTRCB glad to know that Ryzza Mae is briefed before and debriefed after every show to ensure her well-being," it added.
It also cited TAPE's policy of Ryzza Mae "being involved, with aid of responsible adults, in creative process."
Regular reports
But the MTRCB also said it will require monthly reports from TAPE Inc. during a three-month "collaboration."
"While noting TAPE's focus on the participatory rights of the child, MTRCB requires monthly reports during 3-mo period of collaboration," it said.
It said the period of collaboration is MTRCB's way of "journeying with the producer towards better self-regulation and ensuring child-friendly entertainment."

The MTRCB also said it is giving TAPE 10 days to submit additional measures "for further protection of Ryzza Mae."
"While commending the promotion of values like respect and the celebration of childhood, the MTRCB shall continue to engage the shows featuring Ryzza Mae to help promote her well-being and those of child viewers," it said. — ELR, GMA News
