Michael V. admits he is quite disappointed over the alleged move to stop the selling of his album Bubble G Anthology by the popular band Kamikazee. One of the cuts in the comedian/singer's top-selling album titled “Mamaw” is a spoof of Kamikazee’s most popular song last year titled “Narda.” The music video of “Mamaw” was aired on Bubble Gang last year and the band raised no objection — the reason Michael V. is left wondering why Kamikazee now wants it pulled out from his album. The Bubble G Anthology sold like hotcake lates last year. Michael V, in fact, received a Special Sales Award from GMA Records, the album's producer, two weeks after its release in November when sales hit the 15,000 mark. He also was given a National Breakout Award by Paragon Music, which distributed the video compilation that accompanied the album. "May permission ang Bubble Gang, GMA Channel 7 sa Universal na siya namang nakikipag-usap sa Kamikazee kung ok lang at pumayag naman sila kaya nga lumabas 'yon, inere yun sa Bubble Gang," Michael V. told S-Files last Sunday, referring to the "Mamaw" video. "Yun nga rin ang medyo hindi ko maintindihan dahil nung first time na ginawa namin (ang video) pumayag sila tapos this time around, ipu-pull out na." When asked for his reaction to Kamikazee's move, he said: "Di ko rin maitatago na medyo disappointed pero okey lang. I can think of other reasons why.. maraming maaaring dahilan na nakapaloob diyan. Nirerespeto ko naman yung artistic side and at the same time yung business side of it." "So, ganyan talaga, eh... pero unless makausap ko sila ng harapan, malaman yung totoong dahilan, i'll keep my mouth shut," the talented Kapuso star concluded. Michael V wrote the lyrics of all the 10 songs in the Bubble G. Anthology album, seven of which are spoofs of OPM hits. "Mamaw" is a funny cut that tells about an ugly gay portrayed in the video by Bubble Gang comedian Diego. - GMANews.TV
