Bea Rose Santiago nagbago nang ‘di nabigyan ng pera para sa ‘facial enhancements’ —ama

Tila maayos ang relasyon ng mag-amang sina Paul Valencia Santiago at 2013 Miss International Bea Rose Santiago nang dumating ang beauty queen sa Pilipinas noong 2011. 

 

Ayon pa sa ama, ibinibigay nito ang mga pangangailangan ni Bea Rose nang sumali ito sa Mutya ng Pilipinas noong 2011 ngunit nagbago ang lahat matapos siyang mabigo sa pagbigay ng P300,000 para sa umanong "beauty enhancements" ng anak.

 

"The tides changed when she asked for 300 thousand pesos in the early part of 2013 purposely to spend for her facial enhancements," ayon kay Mr. Santiago sa kaniyang Facebook account na kaugnay sa naging pahayag ni Bea Rose sa isang episode ng Buzz Ng Bayan.

 

Isang konsehal si Mr. Santiago sa Mandaon, Masbate.

 

"I told her I could not produce such a big amount as I was then running for Councilor and I needed to have funds to support my campaign, which had been depleted as a result of the huge expenses I shouldered for her pageant preparation. From then on, she turned cold and even colder when her mother arrived and she won the title," patuloy nito.

 

Hindi malinaw sa naturang pahayag ni Mr. Santiago kung natuloy ang beauty queen sa kaniyang "beauty enhancement."

 

Samantala, hiningan ng GMA News Online ang kampo ni Bea Rose Santiago ng pahayag kaugnay sa naturang pahayag ng ama laban sa beauty queen sa pamamagitan ni Tessa Mangahas, Public Relations and Corporate Communications Manager ng Araneta Center, ngunit hindi ito nagbigay ng komento.

 

‘Lightest Christmas’

 

Sa panayam naman kay Bea Rose sa Buzz ng Bayan, hindi itinanggi ng beauty queen na nakaramdam ito ng galit sa kaniyang ama. Sa katunayan, nabanggit pa ng beauty queen na nagsimula itong magtiwala sa mga lalaki sa edad ng 20.

 

Bukod pa rito, pinatawad na raw nito ang ng kaniyang ama. Huli rin silang nagkasama noong coronation night ng Binibining Pilipinas noong 2013.

 

"Actually, last December before I joined Binibini, which is a good thing, parang na-bless [blessed] ako kasi that Christmas was very meaningful kasi nabigay ko lahat ng regrets ko [kay Dad] and then, all he said was ‘I'm sorry’ and everything was just okay. It felt like the lighest Christmas sa 'kin."

 

No apologies

 

Tulad nang nabanggit ni Bea Rose sa kaniyang interview, tumungo si Mr. Santiago sa kaniyang coronation night para sa Binibining Pilipinas. 

 

"I and some siblings who came home from abroad just to support when she attended the coronation night, but we all felt her and her mother's indifference," aniya. 

 

"I sent her a text message a few days after the pageant, but never received a reply. I again sent her a message and I told her I am not after anything that she has nor am I looking to ride on her popularity. I won the elections without her support and without any text message showing concern or that she is happy for my success. From then on, we never had any communication."

 

Bukod pa rito, itinanggi rin ni Mr. Santiago na humingi ito ng paumanhin sa anak.

 

Aniya, "I never asked for her forgiveness as I have not sinned against her or her siblings. Clearly, Bea is out to bend her rancor, not only upon a politician who declined her demanding request, but even to her very own father who has fed and unconditionally loved her."

 

‘Web of lies’

 

Nais ni Mr. Santiago na magbigay ang anak ng isang "public apology."

 

"I never wanted to wash our family's dirty linens in public, but you, Bea pushed me to the wall. I am a public official in our town and it affects my credibility that you paint a picture of an irresponsible father on me when I have not done anything to take advantage of you or your perceived popularity. Also, I am concerned about how the web of lies you spread in the media will affect my family members," pahayag nito. 

 

Dagdag pa ni Mr. Santiago, "Before resorting thereto, I want Bea to retract her malicious statements and make a public apology for she is a loose cannon that is firing in all directions. I do not dismiss the fact that the termination of my relationship with her mother may have had a psychological effect on her, especially the years she was exposed to her mother's bitterness but it cannot justify her immature behavior." — ELR/KG, GMA News
