Vilma Santos laughs off bashers over grammar errors on Kris Aquino's Instagram

Batangas governor Vilma Santos on Tuesday laughed off Instagram users who criticized her grammar on a post by fellow actress Kris Aquino earlier this week.

Aquino had posted a photo of Santos' note along with the Star for All Seasons' gift, a box of ensaymada.

The note read: "Dearest Kris, Thank you sooo much for believing in me. I truely appreciate it friend. Life is short... Enjoy it -- You are so bless... God is good! Smile :) I love you, Ate Vi."

The post drew polarized reactions from Aquino's followers, with some noting the grammatical and spelling errors, and others defending Santos saying it was the nice gesture that mattered.

On Tuesday, Santos sent Aquino a text message to address the issue. The governor laughed off the matter, a note that the television host also posted on Instagram.

"Hi Kris... I am being bashed because of your instagram post. Hahaha. I guess marami pa akong dapat matutunan. I take all of these as constructive criticisms. Tao lang; nagkakamali. Sa mga bashers... Salamat po ..Again, thanks for believing in me. Until next time...."

Aquino also posted her subsequent text exchange with Santos, along with the caption: "I woke up & saw this text from Ate Vi. And it made me realize why I am such a fan of this woman: she is BRAVE, she has a WONDERFUL SENSE OF HUMOR, she has WISDOM, and she is TRUTHFUL! Above everything else, she remains HUMBLE! HINDI SYA PIKON KASI NGA ALAM NYA THAT HER LIFE IS GOOD. Her example will continue to inspire me for the rest of my life!" - JST, GMA News.
