Rachelle Ann Go wins big in UK Broadway Awards


Filipina singer Rachelle Ann Go won as the Best Featured Actress in a Musical during the 2014 Broadway World West End Awards for her role as Gigi Van Tranh in the revival of "Miss Saigon".



Rachelle Ann had left her show-business work in the Philippines last year to pursue her stage career in London.

Meanwhile, Rachelle Ann was not the only big winner as Filipino-American Eva Noblezada was named Best Leading Actress in a Musical.

Noblezada won for her role as Miss Saigon's Kim, a role first played by Tony-awardee Lea Salonga.

The award giving body, the Broadway World West End, announced the winners for the 2014 BWW: UK Awards last Friday on its website.
