“Dito tayo unang nagkita ulit. Dito tayo nag-dedate.

Aniya sa isang post sa Instagram, “She had endless questions about the gender issue. I said there different kinds of love--there's a mommy and daddy, like what she always sees, but love can also happen between a mommy and mommy or a daddy and daddy. She paused a moment then said "...as long as you have meaningful love. That's what you and Baba have, meaningful love." I almost choked into tears.”

Amara helping with the DIY project

Dec 4, 2014---This wedding D.I.Y project has turned into a family affair. I asked amara to write love quotations on wood slices. and this is what she wrote---"Love knows no gender". People have asked me how my daughter has been taking all these new changes that is happening in our family. She's six. She's not supposed to understand the "complications" involved in situations like this. I will never forget the time Amara and I had THE TALK about Aiza. Since day one, I already knew i wasn't going to resort to the "birds and the bees" story.Amara is relentless. She doesn't stop until she fully understands the situation. So choosing to address it rather than "shield" it most often works best. I didn't know how she's gonna take it. But she smiled at me and hugged me, "mom, I've never seen you so happy." She had endless questions about the gender issue. I said there different kinds of love--there's a mommy and daddy, like what she always sees but love can also happen between a mommy and mommy or a daddy and daddy. She paused a moment then said "...as long as you have meaningful love. That's what you and Baba have, meaningful love". I almost choked into tears. In the eyes of a child, the confusion only comes because of the unfamiliar. But what we may see as a "complication" can just come down to something very simple: LOVE IS LOVE---it goes beyond gender, race, culture or religion. And I'm so proud that at such a young age, she see the world without judgement! We may not be your conventional family. But we are HAPPY. That's what matters.... #zazaroadto4ever

Looking forward to the big day

Dec 3, 2014 Sometimes we get so consumed by the little things that make up a beautiful wedding that we tend lose sight of the most important thing...US. I miss THIS, too. As much as you do. I'm sorry if we both got caught up with all these preparations. (but im proud of all the craft projects you've accomplished!!!) Tagal na tayo hindi nakakapagyakapan ng ganito. We are days away from our BIG DAY--a day where we declare our love to each other and share this unique and extraordinary experience with our friends and loved ones. At the end of the day. this is what matters. The two of us, together. Happy. and living every moment of this. I can't wait my love.... love you so much!?? Aiza looks back to their UP days

Dec 6, 2014 2 days before the big day University of the Philippines, Diliman "Pana-panahon ng pagkakataon, maibabalik ba ang kahapon..." June 1999. Sa UP Theater yun, Shakespeare's Taming Of The Shrew. #zazaroadto4ever #zazafamily

One day before the wedding: 'The Jitters'

Dec 7, 2014---- THE JITTERS. They say it's normal to feel it. Marriage, after all is a life-changing experience. While almost all pre-wedding jitters are associated with fears and uncertainty about taking on this lifelong commitment, here I am, feeling the complete opposite. I can't wait to spend my whole life with you my love. I've never been so sure about anything in my life. From the day I said yes to your proposal I KNEW THAT YOU ARE THE ONE. All it took was the decision to BELIEVE and this is what I found... US. I have never felt so content. So blessed. So LOVED. So why am I feeling jittery? Coz, the #zazaroadto4ever is just about to make its first stop.(I'm still over the moon that I get to do this twice). I still cant believe it!!! Love, this is it. We're almost there. Welcome to our FOREVER. P.S. wag mo iiyak lahat may Pilipinas pa!!! #zazaroadto4ever photo credits: @theproudrad videographer: @jasonmagbanua
