Francine Prieto talks about her sexy scenes in 'Silip'

After a two-year hiatus from the big screen, Francine Prieto returns to heat things up once more. This time, it’s what she calls a “sexy psycho thriller" titled Silip from Seiko Films. “Silip siya dahil parang silipin mo ang isip ng isang babae…‘Yung iba, akala nila multo ako, (pero) basta panoorin niyo, hindi ako multo (sa pelikula). Kasi medyo confusing pag pinanood mo lang (‘yung) trailer e, so dapat talaga panorin mo ‘yung buong film," explains Francine. Filmed in Nueva Ecija, it has Diana Zubiri playing Tess the rural lass, and Francine playing Selya the liberated city girl. Polo Ravales hooks up with the two women, but with Tess as his wife. On direk Joel Aside from Diana whom she worked with in Liberated (2004),the film also reunites her with Joel Lamangan who directed her as the little Narda in the 1991 Darna which starred Nanette Medved. Francine says that despite the pressure of working with a renowned director, her friends tell her that it’ll do her good. “Sabi nga sa akin nung mga nakatrabaho (ni direk) like si Wendell Ramos, ‘Okay ‘yan, Francine, para kang nagwo-workshop habang nagshu-shooting!’ Well, totoo nga, talagang nagwo-workshop kami." One of the lessons she has learned from direk Joel is in the art of anger. Well, acting it out, that is! “Hindi ka pwedeng nagagalit na isa lang ang tono mo. How is Polo as a kisser? “Iba sa kanila ni Diana, dahil sila mag-asawa. Kung baga syempre iba ’yung klase ng halik, iba ’yung pagmamahal. Sa akin, parang wild, di ba? E siya napaka sweet niyang humalik, so lagi siya napapagalitan ni direk!" Francine shares with a smile. She reveals that they had "sensuality workshops" for them to be comfortable with love scenes. “Noon pa nga, mas malala pa nga pinapagawa sa amin…Para mawala ‘yung inhibitions mo…(Sa workshop), una kaming dalawa (lang) ni Polo, (tapos) sumunod sila (naman) ni Diana. Parang (may) instructor (kami). Nagbibigay (siya) ng tips," she notes. The 5’10" actress says that Polo sometimes gets conscious about his height. “Si Polo hindi naman siya sobrang liit...Malaki lang ’yung katawan niya kaya mukha siyang maliit...Conscious na conscious (lang) siya sa height (niya), so noong meron na kaming love scene, doon na siya nahihirapan. Tapos mahilig siyang magtanong, ’Tama ba ’yung ginagawa ko?’" With this movie, Francine hopes to banish the stigma of sexy flicks as worthless and plot-less. "Kasi ang sexy film sa atin parang balewala; walang kwenta. So parang (kaya) hindi nakakapasok sa mga award-giving bodies. Nakakalungkot lang isipin, so sa tingin ko ito siguro ’yung isa sa mga pelikula, kung saka-sakali, na medyo magtatanggal ng sumpang ’yun.
