(Updated 11:59 a.m.) Comedienne Ai-Ai delas Alas has signed an exclusive two-year contract with GMA Network.
Delas Alas, who previously worked with GMA-7 as a co-host on noontime shows such as Lunch Date and Salo-Salo Together, signed with the network on Thursday.
Present during the contract signing were GMA Network chairman and CEO Atty. Felipe L. Gozon, president and COO Gilberto Duavit, and other GMA executives.
During the signing, Delas Alas was moved to tears by the welcome, saying, "I have returned... Ngayon po babalik na po ako sa totoo kong bahay."
Delas Alas was overwhelmed by the warm welcome, and was pushed to tears by the messages from GMA executives.
"Tayo ay nagagalak na bumalik si Ai-Ai sa kanyang pinanggalingan," said Gozon.
"Hindi nila ako kinalimutan," Ai-Ai said. "Masaya ako na masaya kayo...Ipagpapatuloy kong pasayahin pa kayo.
De las Alas will star in a soap opera, a Sunday show, a morning show, and a remake of "Let The Love Begin," a film that originally starred Richard Gutierrez and Angel Locsin.
Delas Alas will join Gabbi Garcia, Ruru Madrid, Gina Pareño, and Donita Rose in the said, a source said. —Rose-An Jessica Dioquino and Jessica Bartolome/KG, GMA News
