(Updated 2:23 p.m.) After her award-winning performance as Gigi in "Miss Saigon," Filipina singer and stage actress Rachelle Ann Go has made her debut as Fantine in the longest-running musical "Les Miserables" in London on Monday, June 15.

Prior to her first performance, the Kapuso singer has shared her excitement and nervousness about playing the part

A few hours after the gala performance, Rachelle posted a photo on Instagram with the hashtag #TheLesMisDiaryofRachelle showing her with her female co-stars in the dressing room they share together. These actresses play the parts of Cosette, Eponine, and Madame Thenardier.

According to the actress, “OPENING NIGHT! Iam still floating! I was sooo nervous last night but I had fun!”

Moreover, she thanked her newfound friends for the boost in confidence.

“I am glad to share the dressing room with these lovely girls (Zoe as Cosette, Carrie as Eponine, and Katy as Madame Thenardier!) Now, I can relax and enjoy my character more! This is going to be an amazing year! Aaahh!! Thank you Lord for being with me the whole time!!” Rachelle said.

Last month, the production announced that Rachelle was taking on the role of Fantine in "Les Miserables," which like "Miss Saigon" is run by renowned theatrical producer Sir Cameron MacKintosh.

Rachelle won multiple awards for her portrayal of Gigi, including the Whatsonstage Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Musical and Best Featured Actress in the BroadwayWorld West End awards.

She once again follows in the footsteps of Filipina stage superstar Lea Salonga, who portrayed Kim in "Miss Saigon" before starring as Eponine in "Les Miserables" in 1993.

After Rachelle voiced out her nervousness via social media, the veteran Broadway performer and Filipina singer expressed her pride and support to 'Les Miserables'' newest Fantine, as she has always done ever since Rachelle entered the musical stage performing arts.
