Actress Isabelle Daza has apologized to the people of Siquijor after she posted the hashtag #siquiWhores on her Instagram account, Vice Gov. Dingdong Avanzado said in his own post on Wednesday.
"Actress Isabelle Daza has already explained that the hashtag #siquiwhores was merely a joke and is a 'term of endearment' between her and her cousins," Avanzado said.
"Likewise, she apologized to the people of Siquijor who may have been offended by such a term," he added.
Avanzado encouraged netizens and the people of Siquijor to accept her apology.

Avanzado earlier asked the people of Siquijor to wait for Daza's explanation for the controversial hashtags as he believed every Siquijodnon "deserves a clarification from Ms. Daza on the matter."
Daza was hit by a flurry of netizen comments for using the hashtags #siquiWhores and #siquiHoes in several pictures showing her and her cousins on the actress' Instagram account last Sunday.
