Heart Evangelista opens 4th solo art exhibit
Actress and budding visual artist Heart Evangelista launched her fourth solo exhibit at the Ayala Museum on Friday.
Attended by her family and close friends, the exhibit titled "Oceans Apart" showed Heart's affinity with the sea. Fish and ocean waves are repetitive elements in her paintings.
Heart said that she's delighted with the reception of her fans not only in showbiz, but in art and culture.
"Maganda yung mga naging feedback. Lalo akong na-inspire," she gushed.
"Oceans Apart" is her fourth exhibit, following her art showcase in Singapore last year, "Love Marie."
But Heart admitted that it's more challenging to prove herself as an artist than an actress.
"Every year you have to come up with something different, every year you have to come out with an exhibit," Heart explained.
"You have to keep showing everybody your growth as an artist," she added.
Heart chooses to deal with the pressure by understanding that her art merely records her growth.
"With life, you change constantly and you grow as a person. So parang naging record lang siya ng kung sino ako as a person," Heart said.
The exhibit will go on until Feb. 10.
