Maggie Wilson’s husband Victor Consunji is 1st Pinoy to run North Pole full marathon

British-Filipino beauty queen and TV personality Maggie Wilson is one proud wife to her husband Victor Consunji, who became the first Filipino to run a full marathon at the North Pole.

According to Maggie in an Instagram post last week, “This guy, my husband, just became the first Filipino to run and finish a full marathon at the North Pole! In the harshest conditions, running on frozen ice and snow, in -22 degrees with a wind chill of -35! How amazing is that? We are so proud of you baby @victorconsunji!”

“Congratulations to all the finishers and to the runners who are still on the course, you can do it!” she added.

The North Pole Marathon is run over the classic 42.195km (26.2 miles) marathon distance, with individual competitions for male and female, and a team competition for teams of three or more.

It has been recognized by the Guiness World Records as the Northernmost Marathon on Earth, and was named the “World's Coolest Marathon” by the Runner's World magazine in 2004. —Bianca Rose Dabu/KG, GMA News
