Pia Wurtzbach reunites with fellow Binibini titlists Ara Arida, Ann Colis in NY

Miss Universe 2015 Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach got to spend her weekend bonding with friends Binibining Pilipinas Universe 2013 Ariella Ara Arida and Miss Globe 2015 Ann Lorraine Colis.

The Filipina beauty queens spent the past weekend in New York, bonding with the busy Miss Universe on her rest days.

“Welcome to New York, my two Binibini sisters. 'Binibini' means 'Miss' in Tagalog. On my left is @araarida Miss Universe 2013 3rd runner up, the year Gabriela Isler won in Russia. I was also Ara's 1st runner up that year in Miss Philippines (cheering her on but also patiently waiting for my turn),” Pia shared with her fans.

She added, “And @anncolis, my batchmate in 2015 who is now the first Filipina Miss Globe. Who basically aced the whole year effortlessly with her tiger look. We've been through a lot and it's so good too see where we are now!”

Pia also sent a message to the beauty queens they met from the international pageants they joined.

“A big shoutout to all the women we met from different countries in our respective pageants,” she said.

Ann and Ara, on the other hand, were proud and delighted to see Pia making her dreams come true, even if it is away from home.

According to Ann in an Instagram post on Wednesday, “True friendship is not being inseparable. It's being separated and nothing changes. Thank you Mars @piawurtzbach for finding time to be with us despite your super busy schedule.”

“We are so happy to see you living your dream here in NYC. We are so proud of you. How I wish we can do this more often. Our NYC bonding is definitely one for the books! Mahal ka namin, mars! See you SOON!” she added. —Bianca Rose Dabu/KBK, GMA News
