Despite personal woes: Sunshine Dizon won't back down from 'challenging' role

Kapuso actress Sunshine Dizon refuses to back down from a role that hits too close to home.

Despite battling marital woes of her own, the 33-year old accepted the role of a woman whose husband got involved in an affair.

In an upcoming afternoon, Sunshine will be working with Gabby Concepcion and Ryza Cenon to form a scandalous love triangle.

The similarities to her personal life was not lost to Sunshine. 

The actress recently filed a concubinage complaint against her estranged husband, TImothy Tan, as well as a complaint for violation of Violence against Women and Children Act.

Sunshine said her personal experiences will not get in the way of her job.

"May mga similarities, but you know, I'm not one to turn down juicy roles and beautiful stories," Sunshine said.

"As an actor, I'm always welcoming challenging roles and out of the box characters," she added.

Sunshine also urged women to keep an eye out for her series, saying that female viewers will definitely relate to the story and characters.

"I'm sure a lot of women out there, makaka-relate po kayo sa istorya na to," she said. — BAP, GMA News
