Erap visits best friend FPJ at Manila North Cemetery

Former President and now Manila Mayor Joseph Estrada visited the tomb of his best friend, actor Fernando Poe Jr., at the Manila North Cemetery on Monday.

Photos tweeted by radio dzBB's Manny Vargas showed Estrada lighting a candle and offering prayers before Poe's final resting place.

Poe, who ran and lost in the 2004 presidential election, died after suffering a stroke in December of the same year.

He is the adoptive father of Senator Grace Poe, who placed third in the presidential election in May.

Apart from Poe, other notable figures buried at the 54-hectare Manila North Cemetery include former Presidents Sergio Osmeña, Ramon Magsaysay and Manuel Roxas. —Virgil Lopez/ALG, GMA News
