Kapuso stars Glaiza de Castro and Kris Bernal will travel back in time this February 21 as they grace Prestone's 90th Anniversary at the SM Mall of Asia Music Hall. Featured in the event are fully restored vintage cars from the 1920s to the 1970s that many young people have not yet even seen.

1918 Chevrolet 490 Half-Ton Light Delivery Truck
This is Chevrolet's first half-ton truck and was sold only in bare-chassis form. Customers had the option to either build a cab and bed or have it built by after-market companies during that time. The wooden pick up box of the truck on display provided an economical delivery truck for businesses and was one of the many varieties in 1918. By 1926, Chevrolet started offering factory-built cabs.

1934 Nash Ambassador
The beautiful Art Deco design of this car features bullet-shaped headlights, streamline accents, and ornamental moldings in body panels and fenders. It was offered in different body styles, including coupes and victorias, and was known for its quality, durability, styling, and speed. Because of this, it earned the Classic Car Club of America's recognition of being a “full classic”—a fine and distinctive automobile that was high-priced when new and was built in limited quantities.

1946 Buick Roadmaster Convertible
The Roadmaster is Buick's flagship model from 1946 to 1957. An elegant grille design and strips of stainless steel emphasize its classic elongated profile. One of its biggest developments was Dynaflow, which is the first torque converter in a passenger car.

1947 Chrysler Town & Country Woody
More than just for transport, these were motoring works of art preferred by the elite. The first Town & Country Woody was sold for a $2,734 for the convertible version. The "Town" is signified by the steel front section and the "Country" by the wooden rear and can be distinguished by woodgrain trims covering the cowl back except the rear fenders. Chrysler catalogues labeled it as a "Triumph in Smart Motor Cars” and was also recognized as a full classic.

1965 Volkswagen Type 2 Kombi
Volkswagen started building its second vehicle in the 1950s. Cheap and spacious, the Kombi was an ideal vehicle for the baby boomer generation and soon became popular during the counterculture movement of the 1960s. Up to this day, the microbus remains an enduring iconic image of the flower-power hippies and the surfing culture across the world.

1975 Mitsubishi Minica F4
This cute, fuel-efficient Japanese car, also known as "Kei" (light) cars, was produced by Mitsubishi Motors for its domestic market during the 1960s. It is Mitsubishi's oldest passenger car still in production and is immortalized to us Pinoys in the tongue twister "Minikaniko ni Monico ang Makina ng Minica ni Monica.”

The vintage car show, part of Prestone's 90-year milestone celebration, highlights Prestone’s heritage of expertise in automotive care having been in the market since 1927. Trusted for its range of Coolant, Brake Fluid, and other car care products, Prestone is a globally renowned brand that Filipinos have come to rely on.

Also attending the #Prestone90years event are Kapuso stars Rocco Nacino, Andrea Torres, Valeen Montenegro, Arny Ross, and Denise Barbacena with Luane Dy and Bruno Gabriel as hosts.
