Isabel Granada's remains to be brought to PHL on Wednesday

The remains of actress Isabel Granada will be brought back to the Philippines on Wednesday this week.

Granada's partner, Arnel Cowley, told GMA News that he will bring home the actress' remains from Qatar on Wednesday night.

Other close relatives of the actress who went to Qatar after she fell into a coma were scheduled to return to the country today.

Cowley said they were planning to have Granada's remains cremated.

He said the actress had told her while they were attending a friend's wake in Australia that she would like her remains to be cremated.

Cowley, however, said this would depend on the decision of his wife's mother.

Meanwhile, Cowley said that Granada had been declared brain dead by doctors in Qatar on October 27.

He said Granada was declared dead at 6 p.m. in Qatar (11 p.m. Philippine time).

The official cause of death of the actress was brain hemorrhage due to aneurysm, he added. —report from Manny Flores/ALG, GMA News
