Shirley Fuentes’s stolen SUV recovered in Bulacan

The stolen vehicle of actress Shirley Fuentes on Wednesday was recovered after operatives of the Traffic Management Group (TMG) arrested a suspected carjacker in Bulacan province, radio reports said. Chief Superintendent Perfecto Palad, TMG director, identified the suspect as Raymond Dominguez, alleged member of a carjacking group operating in the province. Fuentes's Honda CR-V sport-utility was scheduled for macro-etching examination at the Police National Police headquarters in Camp Crame in Quezon City. Initial reports indicated that Dominguez was arrested while driving a black Mazda 3 (SAH-288) on MacArthur Highway in Marilao town. Recovered from Dominguez were six sachets of shabu and a cal. 40 pistol, a cal. 380 pistol and handheld radio. Authorities also retrieved Fuentes's valuables including a video camera. Palad said Dominguez was tested positive for illegal drugs. "We hope itong pagkakaaresto ay mababawasan na ang halos araw-araw na carnapping na nangyayari sa (We hope the arrest would reduce carjacking incidents in) Bulacan more particularly in Meycauayan, Malolos, Marilao, and other surrounding municipalities," Palad said after a press conference to present the suspect to media. On October 2, Fuentes reported to TMG the loss of her vehicle to three armed men in front of her residence in St. Francis village, Bulacan. Three separate carjacking incidents has been recorded since Fuentes’s filed her complaint. The victims were identified as Rodolfo Flores, Alicia Roxas and Hilario Angeles. Dominguez was also linked to these carjacking cases after authorities recovered from him the car keys of one of the three stolen vehicles. Flores and Roxas confirmed that the seized Mazda 3 was the suspect’s getaway vehicle. Five days after her vehicle was stolen, Fuentes figured in a car chase in Manila City while she was on board a BMW Classic Series 3 luxury vehicle. She was detained at the office of the Manila Police District Mobile Patrol Group at MPD headquarters but was released after an hour. - GMANews.TV
