Alden Richards feels like a real superhero in Victor Magtanggol costume

Kapuso star Alden Richards on Saturday gushed over his Victor Magtanggol costume, admitting that wearing it gave him a strange kind of feeling.

“Iba pa rin pag nag-mall show ka na naka-superhero ka,” Alden told GMA News jujst before his meet-and-greet with fans at History Con 2018. “Pag suot mo kasi yung costume, nakaka-proud kasi eh. Parang ramdam na ramdam mo, alam mong superhero ka.”

Alden said that he was always aware that everything about the costume was Filipino-made, and this awareness gave him a sense of pride every time he wore the suit.

“Yung mere fact na at the back of my head alam ko na Pinoy ang gumawa ng costume, Pinoy concept, Pinoy design, Pinoy ang mga nagbuo. Ang sarap lang niyang ipakita sa buong Pilipinas,” he explained.

Alden could not help but be pleased with Victor Magtanggol's reception, which premiered last week.

He pointed to the creatives and post-production team and the impressive effects they created as the main reason for the show's positive reception.

He added that he was much like his show's viewers given that he too kept up with the series and was surprised by what he saw on the television.

“Nung binabasa ko yung script sabi ko ‘Ah OK lang to.’ Parang tama lang ang pacing natin. Pero nung pinapanood ko na siya, iba pala. Parang ang bilis pero may sense yung mga eksena na nagu-unravel,” he said. “Ako mismo kahit nagtataping kami every week halos araw araw, nanonood talaga ako eh, gusto ko makita kung nasaan na yung storya.”

Alden was looking forward to future plots and the opportunities the story and characters would be given.

“Happy ako sa outcome ng Victor Magtanggol, sa mga pwede pa mangyari, sa mga gagawin pa namin in the future.” — DVM, GMA News
