Isko Moreno: Kuya Germs taught us it pays to be loyal

If there's one thing that the late German "Kuya Germs" Moreno taught to his colleagues in the entertainment industry, it would be loyalty, former Kapuso actor Isko Moreno said on Thursday.

"Until today, si Kuya Germs nasa kabilang panig na ng mundo na di pa natin alam, hanggang ngayon tinuturuan pa rin niya tayo ng aral... to date, he teaches us it pays to be loyal," Isko Moreno said during the launch of the German Moreno studio at GMA Network.

"'Yun lang ang isang magandang aral na maari nating mapulot ngayong araw na ito... na ang pagiging katapatan ng isang tao ay pagbubungahan niya ng hanggang sa kabilang buhay na. We were taught that way by Kuya Germs many many times," he added.

A studio was earlier unveiled to commemorate the Master Showman's impact in the showbiz industry.

In a video message, GMA Films president Attorney Annette Gozon praised Moreno's commitment in extending help towards aspiring actors.

"He had the vision, he had the eye to identify kung sino 'yung mga 'yun. That's why so many world-class Filipino talents came from him. Even if they were in other networks already, they still respected him and called him 'Tatay,'" Gozon said.

"He even uses his own money to help them without even thinking of getting it from the network, getting it from the show. That really shows that his heart and dedication was very sincere," she added.

Kuya Germs' family, including son Federico Moreno, and friends from the entertainment world graced the inauguration of the studio.
