Sexbomb’s Jopay takes a leave, laughs off talk she's preggy

Sexbomb member Jopay Paguia on Saturday denied she would soon be leaving the popular all-female group for good. In an interview with Startalk, Jopay said it is true that she will be absent in Sexbomb gigs in the next few weeks but clarified this is so because she has been granted a vacation by their manager Joy Cancio. “Hindi po ako aalis sa Sexbomb. Magbabakasyon po ako. Magla-lie low po muna ako para maano ko yung sarili ko…para makapapagpahinga po ako," she told Startalk host Joey de Leon. She said since her father died, she has not spent time with her family. She added her health has also suffered. “Siguro po napagod lang talaga ako kasi simula po nung namatay yung Dad ko dire-diretso po talaga yung taping ko. Nag-“Mano-Mano," “Islas Chikita" tapos po ngayon “Tabachinghing." Sobrang napagod po talaga ako saka yung time ko sa family ko," she said. “Pinayagan po niya (Joy) akong magbakasyon kasi nakita naman po niya yung hirap na pinagdaanan ko nitong “Tabachingching" na sobrang nangayayat po talaga ako," she added. She said she is yet to decide where she would go. “Pinaplano na umalis depende, Hong Kong o Japan o Bangkok, hindi pa alam," she said. Jopay also denied that she would take a leave from Sexbomb because she is pregnant. “Hindi po, hindi po ako buntis," she said. For her part, Joy Cancio said she already warned Jopay no to be out of the public sight too long as it might take a toll on her career. “In-explain ko naman sa kanya na yung ginagawa namin sa career niya pag sinabing namahinga ibig sabihin…from the step 1, step 2, step 3 tapos nagpahinga ka pagbalik mo step 1 na naman. E sayang yung career. Sana rest lang for giving time to your family, to your health, hindi yung matagal kasi mahirap mabawi yung career na ginawa namin for her," she said. And Jopay understands this as she thanked her manager for understanding her situation. “Ate Joy, nagpapasalamat po ako kasi binigyan niyo ako ng break para magpahinga kasi sabi niya pag nagpahinga ka pagbalik mo mag-uumpisa ka ulit. Sabi ko naiintindihan ko po, wala pong ibang sisisihin kundi ako kung sakali man pong bumagsak ako," she said. She also thanked other Sexbomb members for understanding her. - GMANews.TV
