Kris Aquino says she suffers from a ‘form of lupus’

Actress and media personality Kris Aquino on Saturday tearfully revealed that she was ailing from a "form of lupus," and that she was allergic to all the medications used to manage or cure the illness.

While doctors in Singapore found that her kidney function "was still okay," Kris explained in the Facebook Live video that what her doctors were doing was "delaying it... they're delaying the inevitable."

Aside from this, Kris also said she was suffering from fibromyalgia, which prevents her from getting up from her sickbed for three to four days.

She had revealed earlier that she had chronic spontaneous urticaria, and she was thus just "one fatal allergic reaction from anaphylactic shock."

Kris, the daughter of former President Corazon Aquino and the sister of former President Benigno Aquino III, added that her condition had put an end to her plan to enter public service in 2022 as she was allergic to almost everything, including pollen, trees, and high temperatures.

She also addressed a former business partner, Nicardo Falcis II, who she was suing for qualified theft.

"Hindi na ako galit sa iyo, Nico. Pero harapin mo naman ang lahat ng kaso mo, 'yun lang. I did not lie. I don't want to die being accused as a liar," said Kris.

While Kris added that she was going back to Singapore for further tests, she would not be posting on her social media accounts as this was a source of stress.

She would nevertheless be posting updates every so often.

Just a few hours after her Facebook Live video though, Kris posted a photo on Instagram showing her slim figure.

In her post, she said she will obey her doctors.

She also thanked everyone for praying.

"you do know na hindi ko naman matitiis na totally mag off-line? if the prognosis will be encouraging, i’ll definitely update... i’ll be obeying my doctors in the coming weeks. thank you for praying for me, my sons, and the improvement of my health. 1 Chronicles 16:34 NIV Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever," she wrote.
