Dingdong Dantes seeks AFP's help for ‘Descendants of the Sun’ role

Kapuso Primetime King Dingdong Dantes is set to play the lead role "Big Boss" in the upcoming Filipino adaptation of the Korean drama series "Descendants of the Sun."

And with that, Dantes and his team have sought the Armed Forces of the Philippines' help to prepare him for the role.

In Mav Gonzales' Saturday report on GMA News TV program Balitanghali, the actor explained that he needed to go through an intensive military training course to prepare for the role given that "Big Boss" was an exceptional soldier in "Descendants of the Sun."

"We entered a memorandum of agreement where in we really have to go through proper training para maintindihan namin at magampanan namin nang tama 'yung role ng isang sundalo," said Dantes.

The Kapuso star will be working alongside actors Rocco Nacino, and Jasmine Curtis-Smith  for the upcoming adaptation. — Kaela Malig/DVM, GMA News
