Rhea Santos: ‘My heart is full’

Rhea Santos posted a heartfelt message on Twitter on Sunday night, days after she signed off as a host on "Unang Hirit."

"Didn’t expect to receive so much love from all of you. Thank you. [Heart] is aching and I shed tears once in awhile. But my heart is full ‘coz of your love. You make leaving so hard. No goodbyes. Just a heartfelt gratitude for 19 years with you," she said.

Santos, whose last episode of "Unang Hirit" was last Friday, will be moving to Canada with her family after 19 years with GMA Network.

On Saturday, she posted a longer message on her Instagram that featured several photos of her with her "Unang Hirit" friends and colleagues.

Sorry it took awhile to process everything. I didn’t expect to receive so much love from friends, colleagues and from people I do not know personally. My heart aches and I shed tears once in awhile. Di ko kinakaya mga post niyo???? Going to work this week, knowing it’s my final week at work, was heartbreaking. Mornings in Unang Hirit were fun as always, but every minute that passed felt heavy. I dreaded going to work but I wanted to see and feel everyone. I wanted to make the most of my last days in the show, thanking & hugging people who’ve helped me through this journey. I lived half of my life with my morning family and it was indeed the best years of my life. Unang Hirit has blessed me with friends and with the opportunity to reach my dreams. You allowed me to be loved by people by believing in me the past 19 years. I was accepted because all of you gave me a chance. I’m leaving with an aching heart because I will miss everyone. But it’s a heart full of love because of you. Please know that a big part of me belongs to you. Thank you everyone for making leaving so hard. ?? To everyone who sent their messages of love and support, you fuel me to embark on this new chapter. Please know that we prayed for this and we are ready to take on wherever life will lead us.
