Members of Baywalk Bodies on Tuesday attended a hearing at the House of Representatives on the government’s effort to curb pornography, GMA’s 24-Oras reported. The members of the group were invited as resource persons in the deliberation of House Bill 245, authored by Compostela Valley Rep. Manuel ‘Way Kurat’ Zamora, which seeks to ban pornographic materials. The hearing attended by the group was intended to make a classification when a material can be considered pornography. “Maganda na rin ito para hindi na masyadong lumala yung mga sexy kaya sinusuportahan namin si chairman. Tinutulungan talaga namin siya dito. At least dito man lang may magawa kaming kabutihan," Palmolive Palma, one of the members of Baywalk Bodies, said. For his part, Manila Rep. Bienvenido Abante, chairman of committee on public information, said they are fast tracking the deliberation to ensure that the bill will be discussed in the plenary next year. The Baywalk Bodies became controversial a couple of years ago when they had a photo shoot along Roxas Boulevard in Manila wearing only bikinis and transparent plastics as dress. - GMANews.TV
