Why Marian Rivera decided to back out of ‘First Yaya’

Marian Rivera was excited to star in a new teleserye called “First Yaya,” but the Kapuso Primtime Queen has chosen to put “family first.”

According to Lyn Ching’s showbiz report on “Unang Balita” Monday, the actress opted out of the proposed lock-in taping for the series so she could continue taking care of her kids Zia and Ziggy.

Marian’s husband Dingdong Dantes recently wrapped up a 12-day “closed-group” shoot for the award-winning Kapuso drama “Descendants of the Sun.”

The Kapuso Primetime King and Jennylyn Mercado, who play “Big Boss” Captain Lucas and Dr. Maxine on the show, have shared some final group photos with their co-stars set.

Dingdong also shared his personal experiences while filming during the pandemic, and how proud he was to be part of the DOTS family for almost a year.

“Been wearing these boots for almost a year now to give life to Capt. Lucas Manalo. Now, it is time to loosen these laces to make way for the next journey. Mission accomplished!” he wrote in the captions.
