Cristine Reyes says she’s still a Kapuso
Young star Cristine Reyes said she would remain a Kapuso as long as a contract between her and the GMA Network exists. "May contract pa, siyempre dito pa rin ako. Hindi naman ako pwedeng pumunta sa iba nang may kontrata pa ako dahil bawal yun di ba?" she said in a taped interview with Startalk aired Saturday. Asked if she will remain a Kapuso, she replied: "Oo. Hangga't me contract pa." She said she is yet to sign a contract with ABS-CBN. "Hindi pa ako pumipirma sa ABS(-CBN)," Cristine said. Rumors that Cristine would be transferring to ABS-CBN have been circulating after she was seen on Wowowee. Her sister, Ara Mina, is now taping for Prinsesa ng Banyera. The young star said she would immediately inform the Kapuso Network if she would have any plan to transfer to the rival station. "If ever man, kung ano ang plano, kung ano ang mangyayari, kasi hindi ko rin masasabi po, sasabihin ko naman po sa inyo. Hindi ko itatago yun. Hindi naman ako basta basta...bastos na aalis bigla. Siyempre dito rin ako sa GMA nanggaling, ang gusto ko ayokong magalit sa akin kahit sino mang kampo," she said. Ms Ida Henares, Assistant Vice President of GMA and head of GMA Artist Center, said Cristine has not told them anything about her rumored transfer. "Wala pa kaming pag-uusap sa paglipat-lipat na yan kasi wala pa siyang binabanggit. We haven't talked about it. If ever man nagtanong kami minsan about an article, she said it wasn't true, yung article na lumabas na yun. So as far as that is concerned wala pa siyang binabanggit sa amin," Henares said. "We have renewed her contract so she's still in contract with us and our contract in the network states that we have the option to renew and so we have exercised that option," she added. Henares also said they have sent a letter to ABS-CBN to inform them of Cristine's status as an exclusive talent of GMA Network. "It was more of information that she is still in contract with us...so that there won't be any complication. We just really sent a letter informing that she is still with us," she said. - GMANews.TV
