Former matinee idol Gabby Concepcion has a new baby girl

GMA Network’s Showbiz Central reported Sunday Gabby’s fourth child, his first with wife Genevieve, was born on January 13 at Costa Contra Medical Center in California. The child was named Samantha Alexis, according to Gabby’s dad, Rolly, in a taped interview with the entertainment talk show. He said Gabby and Genevieve waited for their child for three years. “Matagal nang expected ang baby na yan. Excited na rin si Gabby matagal na niya gusto magka-baby," Rolly said. He added the newborn child was another Gabby look-alike. “Malakas ang dugo ni Gabby. Lahat ng baby niya kamukha niya," he said. Rolly expects Gabby and his family to return to the country by February or March for the child’s baptism. “Alam ko gusto nila mabinyagan yung anak nila dito e siyempre andito yung parents ng babae, yung pamilya nandidito," he said. Rolly also narrated to Showbiz Central the first time he met his grandchild KC Concepcion. “Nakakatuwa. Yung mga kaibigan ko sinasabi, binibiro ako palagi na ako daw ang kamukha (ni KC) hindi si Gabby. Flattered (ako)." “Nakakatuwa nga siya, yung mga pictures na ipinakita niya sa amin yung talagang para silang (Gabby and KC) mag-boyfriend na nagde-date sa kalye. Masaya, very happy," he said. Rolly has this message for KC: “KC keep on doing what you are doing. Be good at it but remember always to keep your feet landed on the ground. All of these are temporary. Like I told Gabby when he was starting in the movies. Pag pumasok sa ulo mo yung sikat ka na, talo ka na dahil walang ibig sabihin yun. Lahat yan me katapusan." And for his son, Gabby: “Gabby I’m glad for you and I hope that you can make this marriage grow. You made your wife very happy when you make her a complete woman by giving her a baby. And ikaw dahil wala kang baby na nakasama mong lumaki, lahat ng baby niya sa mga ina lumaki. Perhaps this is the chance to spend quality time with your new baby.
