Snooky says guy who raped her was an actor

MANILA, Philippines - Actress Snooky Serna on Sunday claimed that the guy who raped her when she was 14 years old was an actor and one of her leading men. In the “Don't Lie To Me" segment of Showbiz Central, Snooky replied “yes" when asked if the man who abused her was also in show business. The lie detector showed that her answer was "true." "I owe it to the public and I owe it to everybody. Mahal ko kayong lahat kaya dapat lang totoo ako sa sarili ko," she told John "Sweet" Lapus, the regular host of the segment. Snooky and Sweet agreed not to name the actor involved. The actress, 41, first revealed over the radio program of DJ Mo Twister last year that she was raped. Snooky also passed the lie test when asked about the cause of her breakup with former husbands Ricardo Cepeda and Nino Mendoza. Serna was made to admit during the segment that the uncontrolled spending of one of her family members strained her relationship with Cepeda. “Wag naman magagalit yung aking beloved family. Past is past ayoko na sana pag-usapan pero to cut the long story short I think partly nakaapekto yun sa relationship namin," she said. "Ako naman kasi ang may kasalanan, masyado akong galante, masyado akong mapagbigay na I took my ex-husband for granted. Kumbaga masyado kong inuna yung ibang tao sa life ko. Hindi naman sila nag-iimpose pero ako na mismo yung nagbibigay," she added. Snooky also admitted that she parted ways with Nino because his family does not like her. "Isa sa mga reasons kasi non-showbiz family sila and unfortunately merong mga pre-conceived notions kasi…nage-generalize without giving the benefit of the doubt or kilalanin ka muna nang mabuti. It affected the relationship aside from other things na I would rather not talk about it," she said. Her marriage with Mendoza only lasted for seven months but she said she has no regrets ending the relationship. "Tamang-tama ang ginawa ko. I don't mean to sound mean pero mas masaya ako ngayon dahil masaya ang pamilya ko, masaya ang mga anak ko. Parati ko sinasabi (sa mga anak ko) na hindi ko sila ipagpapalit sa kahit na sinong lalaki. Too much is too much. I've had enough," she said. However when asked by Sweet if Snooky has plans to return to Ricardo's arms, she answered “no." The machine flashed it was a "lie." The actress said she is not seeking a romantic relationship with Ricardo again but admitted she wants their friendship to remain strong. "Kasi I feel we're much better off as friends. Friends kami ngayon. Siguro kaya naging lie kasi gusto ko maging friends kami," she said. She added that Ricardo had told her that he joins group dates but he has no prospect yet.
