Shuvee Etrata apologizes after drawing flak online over comments in resurfaced video

Shuvee Etrata issued a statement of apology after drawing flak online over previous comments she made on a resurfaced video. 

On Instagram Stories, Shuvee said she tries to avoid talking about politics because it is a divisive topic. She also said she loves the Filipino people and it's important to her to stand against corruption.

"Bago lang po lahat 'to sa akin. Kaya pasensya na po sa lahat ng na-disappoint at nasaktan ko. I understand that what I said in the past caused hurt to some and I take responsibility for it," she said.

"Huwag po kayong mag alala, natuto na po ako. Lalawakan ko pa po ang pag-iisip ko para sa ating lahat. I will continue to learn and grow," she added.

Shuvee previously expressed support for the anti-corruption protests on September 21.
