Ate Gay has a happy update on health: 'Graduate na ako sa chemo'

We are so happy for Ate Gay and the continued improvement of his health.

On Facebook Tuesday, the comedian gave another positive update. "Graduate na ako sa chemo," he shared.

"Nalagpasan ko ang pagduduwal, walang panlasa," he said, adding he can now eat "nang bongga."

In a September episode of "Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho," Ate Gay disclosed his Stage 4 cancer diagnosis, and since then, blessings came pouring in for the comedian. An anonymous doctor helped him with his radiation therapy at the Asian Hospital in Muntinlupa, while a fan lent a condo unit nearby for the comedian's convenience.

After six days of treatment, the lump on his neck had visibly shrunk. In an October interview with Nelson Canlas, Ate Gay gave the lowdown of his full treatment: 35 days of radiation and five times of chemotherapy.

"Umiiyak ako dahil masaya ako, hindi sa malungkot, ha? Napakasuwerte ko sa mga anghel ko. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Ang suwerte-suwerte ko," he said then.

In his latest health update, Ate Gay said he still had 15 days of radiation to go before undergoing immunoTheraphy, which is some "12 sessions every 21 days."

"Salamat po sa mga dasal nyo," Ate Gay said. "Lumalaban ako."
