Sparkle GMA Artist Center to honor Emman Atienza through kindness advocacy campaign
Sparkle GMA Artist Center is honoring Emman Atienza's memory through an advocacy campaign.
In Aubrey Carampel's report in "24 Oras" Tuesday, Sparkle Consulting Head for Talent Imaging and Marketing Lawrence Tan said the campaign will be called Click Kindness.
"So in a few days we will be starting an online and on-air campaign called Click Kindness," said Tan. "I think it's obviously inspired by Emman. It is a legacy she will leave with Sparkle and each and every member of GMA whom she has touched and loved."
Emman was among the artists under Status by Sparkle, the official digital arm of Sparkle. She joined the agency in October 2024.
At Emman's wake, fellow Sparkle stars Maika Kemmochi and Aaliyah De Gracia remembered their close friend and gave a glimpse into her beautiful soul. Anthony Rosaldo also sang at the wake as a tribute to Emman.
"Whether it's a small win or a tough moment, Emman was always there with her words of encouragement, reminding us that we can make it through. She celebrated others with a big heart," Maika said.
"She was the most selfless, most humble, kindest person I have ever met. She was like a shooting star, wherever she went, she instantly lit up the room. She was a ball of energy, full of kindness," Aaliyah also said.
Several Kapuso executives and officials also visited Emman's wake, including GMA Network Senior Vice President and GMA Films President Atty. Annette Gozon-Valdes.
Sparkle stars Gabbi Garcia, Khalil Ramos, Mikee Quintos, Shuvee Etrata, Anthony Constantino, and other Sparkle and Status by Sparkle artists also paid their respects.
Others who attended the wake were Manila Mayor Isko Moreno and Emman's aunt Manila Vice Mayor Chi Atienza, as well as family friends and co-workers of Kuya Kim Atienza at GMA Network.
"So many people are inspired by Emman. It amazes me that I get so many messages not only from the Philippines but from all over the world, people whose lives Emman has touched, and the message is simple: be a little kinder everyday," said Kuya Kim of his youngest daughter.
"My Emman will stay alive if I'm a little kinder everyday. So, thank you very much for being here. Maraming, maraming salamat. Ang pamilya po namin ay nagpapasalamat sa inyong lahat sa pagmamahal ninyo kay Emman. Thank you po."
Emman's passing was announced by her family on October 24. She was 19 years old.
In what would be her last message on her Instagram broadcast channel, posted on September 1, Emman opened up about the pressures of social media.
In Kuya Kim's interview with Jessica Soho, aired on "Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho," he said he remains grateful for the "19 beautiful years" of Emman.
He also reminded parents about the seriousness of mental health during his interview with Vicky Morales on "24 Oras."
